Thomas B.J. Letson
Tom Letson practices in the areas
of Employment Law, Domestic Relations, Workers Compensation, Traffic,
Personal Injury, and Criminal Law. He crafts pleadings beneficial to
his clients’ positions and assists in the settlement of their problems.
He has helped clients through some of the hardest decisions that they
Tom Graduated from Champion High School and attended St. Bonaventure University before graduation from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and minors in History and Political Science. He went on to the University of Akron, School of Law receiving his Juris Doctor in 1988. Tom is admitted to practice law in Ohio and before the United States District Court of the Northern District of Ohio. Tom has practiced in his home town for the past 17 years.
Although born in Columbus, Ohio, when his father attended the Ohio State University School of Law, Tom has lived in Trumbull County except for his college days. He has been involved with many of his professions governing associations. He has been a member of the Trumbull County Bar Association since 1988, serving as Continuing Legal Education Committee Chairman from 1989 until 2001, Executive Committee from 1999, until present and President from 2001 until 2003.
Tom has served the Ohio State Bar Association as a member of the Board of Governors of the Young Lawyers Section until 1995 and continues to serve as a member of the Board of Governors of the Solo, Small Firm, and General Practice Section, having been chairman from 1999 through 2001. Currently, Tom is also on the OSBA Council of Delegates.
Tom has belonged to the American Bar Association since his admission to practice and has served as a guest lecturer at YLD events and AOP meetings. He has been a member of the General Practice, Solo, and Small Firm Section for 10 years serving on panels, boards, and committees, and is now a council member for the section.
Tom’s outside interests have led him to become
a member of the National Ski Patrol achieving the level of Senior
Patroller and OEC instructor. When the snow melts, you can find Tom on
the golf course or tennis courts.
